Clutch Magazine Launches, Filling a Void in AA Women Targeted Editorial on the Web
ATLANTA, GA - - Clutch Magazine, a savvy web-based publication, targeting women of color, launched last month. Created by Deanna Sutton, the magazine intelligently fuses fashion, beauty, music, art, entertainment, and political topics to satisfy their readers craving for news and up-to-date trends. Clutch’s editorial highlights images and content relevant to and reflective of African American women, in a sleek, aesthetically appealing format.“African-American women have continuously been over-looked and under-served in the magazine industry,” explains Sutton. “Clutch’s main goal is to fill the void, while exciting and empowering our multicultural audience.”
Deanna Sutton, an Integrated Marketing professional from Michigan, is not interested in competing with similar media outlets, and even supports fellow publications and online magazines in Clutch’s Blog Index section. In addition to a list of site links, the index features a new blog each month.
Other sections in the magazine include: “Lessons in Beauty”, “Brands to Watch”, “Higher Ed”, amongst others focused on providing a balanced editorial experience for the reader. Clutch has already featured a number of first class talent in their past 2 issues, including celebrity stylist, June Ambrose; author Tia Williams; and Fashion Chair of Parson The New School for Design, Tim Gunn, solidify their status as a rising powerhouse in the magazine industry.
